Your data in this MVP

This is an early testing version on a LexiLuma server. You can explore the courses now. Account sign-in and personal generation will appear as each feature passes its live tests.

Learning progress

Guest practice results and preferences are saved in this browser. When account sync is configured and you sign in, Kana progress and preferences are also saved on the LexiLuma server, including guest learning you explicitly choose to import. Signing out does not erase browser data. Use each course’s reset control or clear this site’s browser data to remove local copies.

This standalone preview uses one server and backups in Tokyo for learners in Japan and Mexico.

Moving from the preview

The optional Kana transfer file can include your interests and practice history. It stays in your hands until you import it on your chosen new site. Keep it private and delete it when the transfer is complete. Importing saves a backup of any device progress it replaces in this browser.

Personal memory links

When you request a personal Kana or Kanji memory link, LexiLuma sends your relevant interests, the character being studied, and recent practice feedback to the OpenAI API. OpenAI processing is not restricted to the Tokyo server. A separate model call and app checks review the suggested link before it can appear. Approved links and related feedback are saved with your account so they can appear on another device. The reviewed course story remains available.

LexiLuma asks the OpenAI API not to store responses as application state. OpenAI says API content is not used to train its models unless the account opts in, and that abuse-monitoring logs may include content and are normally retained for up to 30 days, with stated exceptions. Read OpenAI's data controls. Personal generation has a limited free preview and a server-wide daily limit; it may be unavailable when either limit is reached.

When sign-in is enabled

Email sign-in sends a short code through Amazon SES. The server limits requests per email address, IP address, and day. It stores your email address, expiring code verification data, and expiring login sessions. Google sign-in may also be offered later; it is optional and uses your verified Google identity without access to your inbox. Sign-out revokes the current session. Signed-in learners can delete their LexiLuma account and saved server learning data from the sign-in page. No marketing email is sent.

Shared devices

Browser storage is not a private vault. Sign out when finished and avoid using a shared browser profile for information you want to keep private.

Before public launch

The operator’s public contact still needs to be provided before inviting public testers. Account records remain until you delete your account. Server backups retain up to eight daily local copies and five daily encrypted disk snapshots; deleted account data may remain in those backups until they age out. Keyed anti-abuse send records can remain after account deletion and are removed by the next daily cleanup after they become one day old.
